Zrink Jr Blaze Mission Statement:

Zrink Jr Blaze (formerly Zrink Selects) is an organization designed to provide in-line roller hockey players with opportunities to play at the highest level available in Roller Hockey.  This is a team oriented organization that looks to attract the best roller hockey players, to participate in high level training, league and tournament play.  Players are welcome to try out for teams in 8U, 10U, 12U, 14U and 16U divisions in the early spring, minor teams may also be developed.

A Board of Directors will guide the activities of the Jr Blaze.  This group of parents and volunteers interested in promoting the Jr. Blaze will meet periodically to develop strategies to recruit players, promote the club and raise funds for activities.  Volunteers will participate in roles for a specific period of time.  Interested parties should contact Bill MacLean at Bill@zrink.com

Once selected, teams will play a competitive schedule of games and tournaments, while receiving the highest level of training possible in roller hockey.  Players in ages 8U through 14U will play on various teams in the Spring or Summer roller hockey league at Zrink.  Players selected on the 14U and 16U team will play in the spring league high school division or in the adult leagues as  appropriate.  Teams will attend tournaments appropriate to their competitive ability.   Teams will participate in no less than 3 tournaments.  Six Practices (1  hr.) will occur on Sunday mornings, facilitated by the Zrink Jr. Blaze Coaches from April through July.

Teams demonstrating successful competitive outcomes may attend the NARCh Finals.  This is the highest level of team competition in the country.  Zrink is not interested in assembling random players from time to time for the purposes of winning tournaments, but is committed to developing cohesive teams who will compete and demonstrate the virtues of a successful team hockey experience:   dedication, commitment, responsibility, accountability and execution.

The Zrink Jr Blaze may also support an 18U team.  This team will be assembled as tournaments become identified.  Interested players should contact Bill MacLean directly.
